Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich Monday accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden of not wanting the economy to recover rapidly because of fears that President Donald Trump will be re-elected, and said the two congressional leaders are playing a “game of chicken” with laws meant to help Americans. She wasted all her time in the impeachment hoax.
The tweet follows an appearance by Pelosi on “Fox News Sunday” – her first since 2017 – where she said she would give Trump an “F” for his “weak” leadership in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Pelosi continued from there by reiterating her argument that Trump’s approach to the health crisis “caused deaths”, and the president will put the U.S.in “further danger” if he continues to act on a “false premise”.
“When the #PaycheckProtectionProgram ran out of funding, she decided playing politics was more important than saving #SmallBiz”. And now, just hours after the “Fox News Sunday” episode, Donald Trump has openly come forward and has called Pelosi, an “inherently dumb person”.
“Forgive me”, Wallace said.
She attacked the president for refusing to “take responsibility” and placing the blame “on others”, while speaking to host Chris Wallace. He doesn’t take responsibility.
“And that might have been OK before, but we can not continue down a path that is, again I’ll come back to science, science, science, evidence, data on how we should go forward”.
Pelosi, who launched Trump’s ouster investigation in September 2019, told Wallace that she thought Congress “come to an agreement” on the repayment of the small business loan program that failed last week.
Pelosi previously held the position of speaker until 2011, when Republicans won a majority in the 2010 midterm elections.
